Gerald Harrison inducted into Darlington High School Athletics Hall of Fame

He graduated from Mayo High School, Darlington, SC in 1970 and continued his educational preparation at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies in 1974, and Master of Education in 1983. Gerald Harrison received many awards as a player in football and baseball, but his most important role was being elected as Captain by his teammates. War Between the States and Museum

War Between the States Museum in Florence located at 107 S Guerry ST South Carolina is one of the so-called "most sought museums" in the states. The admission fee is cheap at $1 to $2, but the learning that you will get is so much more than the cost. You’ll find memorabilia and artifacts from 1850 to 1900. There are pictures of the military personalities displayed at the museum. In fact, if you like history, you’ll find much information from this museum. It’s the reason why I want my history class, I can relate to the discussion. Besides, the reference library from the museum is available for public use which makes it easier to understand history.
